Instructor Susan Wilson guides students on how to work with heavy weight textiles and heavy duty materials such as webbing and utility zippers. Students will get an opportunity to think critically as to how to place pattern pieces in ways that are ergonomic and economic to their project and will come to understand the different way a heavier textile responds to general sewing, sewing on a curve and the difference in zipper installation. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine.
