Happy October!

Fall is officially here, and we have a lot happening at Factory Two as we head into the final few months of the year. Most importantly, I want to personally invite you to Make The Space on Monday, October 19 from 5–8 PM.

Make The Space is our annual open house and a chance to bring our community together. Whether you’ve been part of Factory Two for years or have always wondered what happens inside our building, we’d love to have you join us. You’ll have a chance to explore the space, try out some of what we have to offer, and connect with the community partners and members who help make Factory Two what it is.

The event is completely free and open to everyone, so bring a friend or family member, try something new, and come Make The Space with us. See you there!

The Cyclones are Back!

The start of school means the return of high school students from the Flint Cultural Center Academy! We love having these young people at the makerspace, getting a taste of the shop classes and home ec classes that us older folks remember from our school days. No cell phones, just groups of youth learning the joy of making things with their own hands, guided by skilled instructor Miracle McGlown of 1:Eleven Leather.

Making Saturdays Awesome is now Making STEAM Awesome and it happens twice a week; Wednesdays after school for kids 12-18 and year-round on Saturdays for kids 8-12. Check out our calendar for weekly projects and registration. We look forward to creating with you! New sessions start Oct. 7.
