Effective date: January 1, 2025 · Last updated: January 2025
Factory Two (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website and the Factory Two member portal. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using our services you agree to these practices.
Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number (optional). We may also collect a profile photo if you choose to upload one.
Payment information: Membership and class payments are processed through Stripe. We store a reference to your payment method but never your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.
Usage data: We log equipment reservations, class enrollments, event ticket purchases, and related activity to operate the space and keep records.
Communications: If you contact us by email or through a form, we retain that correspondence.
Technical data: Our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) may collect standard web logs including IP addresses, browser type, and page requests.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate your membership account and process payments
- Send transactional emails (receipts, booking confirmations, reservation reminders)
- Manage equipment certifications and access records
- Communicate with you about events, classes, and space updates (you may opt out)
- Comply with legal obligations
- Improve our services and troubleshoot issues
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Information Sharing
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers: We use Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Cloudflare (hosting). Each handles your data only as necessary to provide their service.
Staff: Factory Two staff and volunteers may access member information as needed to operate the space (e.g., verifying certification status, managing reservations).
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of members or the public.
Data Retention
We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at info@factorytwo.org. Note that some records (e.g., payment history) may be retained as required by law.
Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and row-level security policies. However, no system is completely secure — please use a strong password and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser settings can be used to block or delete cookies, though this will prevent you from staying signed in.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, email info@factorytwo.org. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
Our online services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
